March is All about Athan!

Well, as you know March 17th is Athan's birthday! It is hard to believe that she is 5 years old. She enjoyed a wonderful month, Hannah coming to visit, blowing bubbles in the rain, and a Little Mermaid Bday party! I am so thankful that Aunt Tina and Aunt Jo were there to help me, they were wonderful.
The girls at Athan's party were sooooooo calm and quiet. The party started with coloring, then tattoos from Aunt Tina and Aunt Jo, presents, cupcakes and the movie. The girls were so calm quiet... I know I already said that but you had to be there to understand... so calm and quiet!
Athan loves to plan parties but presents are another story. She loves to decorate, make list of things to do, cook, and prepare, but once the party is going she would rather sit back and watch instead of being the center of attention (makes no sense to me!). She loved ALL her gifts and has spent the last three days looking at each one and playing with each one.. one at a time! Athan is marvelous. She loved that her closest friends came to celebrate! Chesed, Charisa, Hannah, Summer, Morgan, Mady & Holland.

Caedmon Writes a Story!

While watching PBS kids one morning, Caedmon asked if he could be in a writer's contest. So, I said SURE! And here is his story. (sidenote: He took most...all but 3... of the pictures for his story!)

Athan & Hannah!

Athan, unlike Caedmon, does not have a lot of friends. Not because she isn't the sweetest little lady in C-vegas, but because there is only ONE girl her age in our town, and she is Hannah! Hannah Banana as we call her and she too came for a weekend stay! The girls had fun sleeping in the guest room, having tea parties, painting toe nails, caring for baby dolls and playing Hello Kitty Bingo! They were precious as you can see!

Caedmon & Branson!

Caedmon has LOTS of friends and on this particular day Branson came over. But there was something special about Branson... he had just had a pin removed from his neck the day before! So, no running, no horseplay, no outside journeys... just video games, board games, and drawing for these boys. They had a good day and Nick our neighbor joined in on the fun!

What we do!

The Russell's have been known on occasion to stay in their PJ's all day... now I know that NO ONE ELSE EVER does that but it is a benefit of homeschooling! Caedmon, Athan, and Holland LOVE to cuddle on the sofa and they are just so cute who could say "No!" MeMe with Holland, Diamond with Athan, and his sisters with Caedmon... a beautiful sight!
